Teach Us to Number Our Days

Merry Christmas!

For unto us a child is

born, unto us a son is given:

and the government shall

be upon his shoulder:

and his name shall be called

Wonderful,

Counsellor,

the mighty God,

the everlasting Father

the Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

Missions

We support our missionary families through “Faith Promise Offerings.” Simply stated, it is the amount each church member promises to give by faith above his or her tithes during the coming year to the world evangelization program of our church.

Faith Promise Missions giving is a method of giving with a biblical base. II Corinthians, chapters 8, 9 and 10 are where we find the biblical concepts upon which we base this practice.

We thank the Lord for our world-wide missionary family. As I Corinthians 3:9 declares, we are “laborers together with God” and are privileged to be a part of their ministry as they labor in the fields of the world that are white already to harvest (John 4:35).

“Any church that is not seriously involved in helping fulfill The Great Commission has forfeited its Biblical right to exist.” –- Oswald J. Smith

“Believer, thou hast a mighty engine in thy hand, use it well, use it constantly, use it with faith, and thou shall surely be a benefactor to thy brethren. If thou hast grace at all, and art not an intercessor, that grace must be small as a grain of mustard. Thou hast just enough grace to float thy soul clear from the quicksands, but thou hast no deep floods of grace, or else thou wouldst carry in thy joyous bark a weighty cargo of the wants of others, and thou wouldst bring back from thy Lord, for them, rich blessings which but for thee they might not have obtained.”
-– Charles Hadden Spurgeon
