Teach Us to Number Our Days

Our Ministries

Our Church has many ministries designed to give people of all ages opportunities to fellowship together and serve our Lord and reach our community.

By clicking on the calendar, you will be able to see when these opportunities arise.

Nursing Home Ministries

The residents of Jackson Ridge are ministered to at 2:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month and the fifth Sunday of the month. Meadow Wind Nursing Home services begin at 3:00 p.m. every third Sunday of the month. Cornerstone offers special music, encouragement, testimonies and the wonderful message of salvation to the residents.  No one is ever too old to hear and learn how much Christ loves them.

Jail Ministry

The Gospel is preached to the inmates at Stark County Jail every month. The Lord is blessing this unique opportunity with souls being rescued from Hell and lives changed.  As is with every life..."Sin is the problem; Hell is the consequence and Christ alone is the answer."

Ladies Ministries

The ladies in our church like to get together and uplift each other spiritually. This is done by
several avenues:
On a weekly basis, we have an outreach program called "The Mug & Muffin Ministry."  The shut-ins, ill, absentees, widows and  widowers are given encouragement through personal visits and the muffins that are shared.
From time to time, we have a ladies meeting called "Titus 2."  A Bible study, a time of refreshments, sharing prayer requests and a prayer time is what is accomplished.
Sometimes we have a ladies meeting called "LIFT." Ladies In Fellowship Together.  Dinner is served, a guest speaker challenges us from the Word of God and we enjoy the sweet fellowship of one another.
At times, we get together for a "Ladies Night Out" and have dinner at a local restaurant.
On a yearly basis, we have a themed "Annual Ladies and Girls Spring Banquet."  It's a fun-filled night of food, hilarious skits, a heart-felt devotion, favors, door prizes and more.   In the fall months, we head out of town for an "Annual Ladies Retreat" where our spirits are lifted and our lives are challenged by the scripture.
Check the calendar for times and dates of all the above.

Men's Prayer Breakfast

The men and teen boys meet periodically for a hearty breakfast followed by a special time around God's Word and prayer. The prayer time is a time where specific requests are mentioned and specifically prayed for. The calendar will keep you informed of these special, informal meetings.

Junior, Teen and Family Camp

Three organized camps are scheduled each summer with great preaching and teaching, special music, games and delicious food.   Clicking on the June, July or August calendar will reveal what camp is planned.

Meetings with a "Revival" Emphasis

Revival means to "come back to life" and sometimes that's what we need in our lives, isn't it?  Daily living can wear us down with all the hustle and bustle ... jobs, family issues, health, depression, maybe unemployment... ....and we could go on and on.  Because of that, we schedule men of God for special meetings that we call "Revival Meetings."  When life gets us down, our spiritual life suffers, as well.  These men have messages that help to renew us and get us back on track.   We thank the Lord for decisions that  been made in previous years' meetings with Al Lacey, Rufus Edmisten, Charles Curtman, Duane Rutherford,  R.B. Ouellette, Kevin Folger, Pastor Emeritus Roger Voegtlin, Hal Hightower, our missionary Jim Males,  Mark Rogers, John VanGelderen and Pastor Rick Savage of the Bethel Baptist Church in Jackson, TN; to name only a few.
Each year we anticipate a renewed interest in soul-winning (showing people their need of Christ) so that we bear much fruit, spiritually, for the Lord.  Services for our Spring Revival in 2017 were postponed. When a new date is finalized, we'll add it to our web page, here.
